Don Crawford

Founder and CEO of Sapheon
Previously, Don directed a $100 million cardiovascular business in Asia for Guidant. His career started with Medtronic and has included early stage companies such as DVI, Ventritex, and WebMD. Don received a bachelor of Chemical Engineering (BChE) from Georgia Tech and an M.B.A. from Emory University.

Rod Raabe, M.D.

Founder and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Raabe is an internationally renowned interventional radiologist and is the co-inventor of the Sapheon Closure System for the treatment of venous reflux disease. Dr. Raabe is the director of radiology at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. Dr. Raabe is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the American Medical Association, the American College of Radiology, the American College of Phlebology, and the Radiological Society of North America. Dr. Raabe was also featured in a New York Times article and on ABC's Good Morning America®.

Aaron L. Berez, MD

Dr. Berez was a co-founder and CEO of Chestnut Medical Technologies, Inc. where he led the development of innovative devices for interventional neuroradiology, including the Pipeline Embolization Device© (PED). Chestnut Medical was acquired by ev3 in June 2009. Before co-founding Chestnut, Dr. Berez was involved with a number of other med tech companies including; VP of Clinical Affairs at Smart Therapeutics and Clinical Director at Endovasix. Dr. Berez received his MD degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, his postgraduate training at UCSF/Mt. Zion in Internal Medicine, and Stanford University in Radiology and Neuroradiology. He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay area where he advises medical device companies.
